This majestic animal is a living thing because it developes, grows, and responds.

-Reproduction-
Arctic Wolfs can create 2-3 pups but sometimes more then that. They can produce over 12 pups.
It takes 63-75 days for the baby to produce in the mother's stomach. Also they give birth late May or early June, a month later on then the Gray Wolf. Arctic Wolfs can produce more pups then Gray Wolves which produce 6 more pups then Gray Wolves who can only produce 4-5 pups. Pups are born blind and deaf and weigh about one pound. They're dependent that their mother will protect and feed them for them. Once the pups are 5 weeks old they're are able to leave the den, but not to far. Others would just stick together and take care of themselves until the mother comes back to the den with food for her pups.

-Grow and Develope-
In my opinion, Arctic Wolves have 3/4 forms. From pup to Child to Adult to Elder.
Also how the Arctic Wolf survives is from it's winter coat. When a pup is born, their fur is brownish blonde. So they depend on their mother's or any family member to help them survive the breezing cold. Over time it's coat will become white enough so they won't freeze to much.
-Weight-
The size of a female wolf weighs 80 - 140 pounds.
Males weigh more over 175 - 176 pounds. That's a lot for a grown male!

-Height-
Grown wolves can get to 25 - 31 inches height up to the shoulders.
Females are much more smaller and lighter then males, they measure up to 3 - 5 feet with the tail and head.

-Life cycle/Changes-
When it's a pup it would stay in the den for 5 weeks or more to leave on it's own. The mother/father would teach their pups how to hunt and defend. After a couple of years the pup would turn into a grown wolf to go on it's own and find a soul mate.

-Hunting-
Wolves would hunt many animals like caribou, muskoxen, arctic hares, seals, ptarmigan, lemmings and waterfowl.
Adult wolves have 42 teeth in their mouth so it's easy to choke or eat their prey. They also roam huge areas up to 2,600 km2. Caribou don't run so fast so Arctic Wolves are lucky to have such a slow-poke to catch easily.
They can eat 20 pounds of food (9 kg) from one meal. The rest they will share with their pack or leave it.
Also wolves eat their food, barely chewing, but just swallow huge chunks of meat.

-Habitat and Distribution-
They inhabit in Canada Arctic and the Islands. Parts of Alaska and northern parts of Greenland. Where they live is 70° North latitude and higher. At first they lived in America for millions of years but later on, they find dens for a long time and somewhat moved to North America.

-Food Chain-
The Arctic Wolf is a secondary customer in the food chain.
Arctic Wolves mostly eat Caribou because they're a slow target for them so it's easy to catch.Food_Web.JPG
